Xmas Camp 2013
The cubs and scouts celebrated Christmas a couple of weeks early this year at Chalfont Heights campsite in Buckinghamshire.
The scouts braved the cold and slept under canvas for the weekend, although they joined the rest of the group inside for the traditional Christmas dinner with all the trimmings.
Activities included wild games, a huge camp fire, bush tucker trials, decoration making, baking, blindfold challenge, fire lighting, high ropes, climbing and go-carting.
A big thank you once again to the leaders, helpers and young leaders who made this event another fun packed adventure!

Summer Camp 2013
The cubs and scouts enjoyed a fun packed long weekend camp over the May Bank Holiday at Youlbury this year (just outside Oxford).
We camped in a lovely clearing surrounded by woodlands that the young people were free to explore, and all our food was cooked on open fires (which always tastes nicer!)
Activities included hiking, axe and saw training, bivouac building, geo-caching, camp candle making, archery, death slides, making friendship bracelet and camp fire singing.
The weather was fantastic until the last day .... when the heavens opened and it rained and rained and rained ....but this just added to the memories! A big thank-you to the leaders, helpers and young leaders that made it all happen!!

John Till's Award - 2011
25 YEARS LONG SERVICE
John Till recently received his 25 years long service award, and we’d like to echo the thanks he was given on the night. He has been with this group for over 25 years (since his son first joined as a cub scout), and he along with all of his family have given a lot of time and effort in keeping the group running and acheiving all that it has in that time.
Above - Mark Blomfield (our old Scout Leader and new District ‘Big Cheese’) presenting John with his certificate.
THANK YOU SKIP!
